Korean Hostel in Spain 스페인 하숙 | Pilgrimage to Camino de Santiago

May 29, 2020

My current favourite Korean Variety Show : Korean Hostel in Spain. 너무 줗아!

The show is about three Top Stars (Cha Seung-Won, Yoo Hae-Jin & Bae Jung-Nam) managed Korean hostel in Spain. Each of them play different role, like Seung-Won was in charge for food and cook, Hae-Jin was in charge for desk and physical work like cleaning and Jung-Nam played role as their assistant like serving food, peeling garlic, helping Seung-Won with grocery, making coffee and etc.

I love how the 스페인 하숙 team delivered the content of the show and make it look so amazing, overwhelming and beautiful. By the way, I am a fan of 3 Meals A Day too. (same producer ^_^)

I love Korean food 한국 은식 very much. Because I’d lived in Korean for quite some times, watching Seung-won's cook made my mouth watering. I am craving Korean food.  매운탕 주세요 🙋🏻‍♀️

Hae-Jin is good at inventing useful item from plywood. He owns IKEYO company, the competitor of IKEA. Hahaha. He is good at making joke.

First time knowing about Camino de Santiago from this Variety Show. I feel so inspired by people who walk hundreds miles away for weeks to do Camino. They come from different races and ages. There was one 65 years old Korean lady who did Camino by herself coming to 스페인 하숙. She was retired lady who owned Piano Academy and she got injured which didn’t allow her to play Piano anymore. I felt so sad hearing her story but at the same time I amazed with her optimistic side.

Throughout this show, I keep on thinking about the journey of pilgrimage. It must be a tiring journey. It requires strong physical and mental to sustain throughout such long journey. It remind me the story of Salman al-farisi, one of the Sahabah Rasulullah saw.

His journey to find Islam is evergreen story to me. He went to one places to another places, so many stops and struggles. Finally, he met Islam and become one of the greatest Sahabah. He is the one who proposed the idea of digging a great trench around Medina during war of Khandak (war of Ahzab). MasyaAllah!

In Islam, pilgrimage is one of pillar of being muslim. But not to Camino de Santiago. Allah commends muslim to do pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina at least once in our life time. I pray to get the chance to do pilgrimage in my young age.

Amin.
