“There is no decision is wrong” — Bee

April 01, 2018

Another series of conversations I had with Bee yesterday which impacted me so much. We discussed about making a desicion for two good options. As normal human being, we always have so many options in our daily basis. Even from the simplest things such as choosing place to eat to the crucial issues such as choosing the right partner to be a part of our life. And we are so easy to be distracted to one of another.

Often we encounter with the options which good for certain part and another option is good for another part. This situation is really making us confuse and stuck us in between the options, isn’t it?

This time arround, I discussed with him, am I supposed to continue study for Master Degree or should I getting a job? Then, he asked me back which one am I more into it? So, I explained.

I like to further my study but I don’t want to specialize in this engineering thingy, I want to do business. I want to work by my own and build up a company. I like to be web developer or graphic designer. I really love to do designing thingy. But my backgroud study is electrical-electronic engineering and biomed engineering which is far away from my passion. So, it’s better for me to get a job that related with something I like plus I don’t have wasting time to continue study for something I don’t (less) interested to. But, my dad will be upset if I don’t continue in my current field anymore. And that makes me torn in between, either to catch the thing that I like or continue with what I already have.

Then, he said there is no decision is wrong. You have two option and both is good option.

What he said, is really make sense. Whatever I choose, it is good option. Living one option left behind doesn’t make me worst decision maker. Maybe I am somewhat afraid of making wrong decision. But, without realizing that there is no right or wrong decision in our life actually. Every decision is good and as if we make decision that doesn’t suitable for us in future, we aren’t making wrong decision but we just learn new way that doesn’t fit with us.

Like how Thomas Edison doing experiment to find what material is suitable to make a bulb to light up. He failed 10’000 times just for one experiment. But, what he came out is divine. He said “I have not failed. I have just found 10’000 ways that won’t work”

I jump into conclusion, I will apply for both options. Getting a job and continuing study in the field I interested to and the field I already in. Then, I left everything to Allah. What God leads me to, is what is best for me.

Pray for my best!
Love,
AH
